Bruce Dessau > Garden trip for Laughter in Odd Places
My weekend didn’t get a great deal better than the Epsom adventure, another weird gig last night and a hungover horrible clumsy morning today leading me on to a train with a shit sandwich and a boring 6hrs and 40mins up to glasgow with a headache.
The Dessau managed to write possibly the hardest review that has ever been written about the gig in hell trying to review and awful gig where none of the comics really shone should mean he can get the knives out, but because it was organised by him and for charity he has to tread around the happenings carefully.
highlights include…
Comedians can deal with hecklers but a flatulent dog onstage is another matter.
and
Terry Saunders plus Brett Goldstein, Fergus Craig and Tiernan Douieb showed considerable versatility, swapping their nuanced routines for something broader to cater for boisterous elements
All in all 3 stars – far more than the gig was worth, far less that we deserve – I’m not sure if the evening standard give out medals for gigs.
And no real quotes to be used – though mine and Tiernans twitter profiles seem to have been raised, maybe Stephen Fry can do the gig there next week…
