The non-day

Today was my least favourite kind of day.

It’s seven minutes until tomorrow and i haven’t achieved anything with this monday.

It started off with a bit of an oversleep, but I knew that I had a lot to do, I’ve been putting off lots of things, many since before christmas, and today was a day of doing them.

First on the list was to edit together a best of 2008 for the anotherf1podcast, I want to try and get mine and Kevin’s year of waffle into some super-funny five/ten minute thing to entice new people in.

Now, I’d already figured that to get all the best bits down from each ep to this supermegafunnypack would take probably the best part of a day. I didn’t take into account that it would also mean trawling through every episode to get the good bits out.

The task seemed like too much when I was sleepy, so I listened on the old iplayer to a thing about Charles Darwin’s boat that I’d wanted to catch.

It wasn’t until 42 minutes in that I realised that not only was it quite a dull program, but that I was using it to avoid the editting.

So I began the editting. Two hours into that Garageband crashed on me (but macs never crash) and I lost all I’d done.

It was my own fault for not saving, so to make myself feel better I woke the cat up for some attention, he got bored of me quick and wandered off, then he started having a go at a wound on his tail that he’s had since we got him.

when I stopped him he went for me, we had a fight – he won.

Now it’s nearly midnight, and I’m watching crap telly. Glad those new years resolutions are kicking in nice.
