The Fizzy Throat

Although I don’t actually believe in new years resolutions (what’s the point?) I have started a resolution that coincidentally started on 1st January.

That is a health kick, like 96% of the population I feel like I have drank too much of late and am getting fat and all that.

So no booze this month for me (yes, only giving up for january, I am not a fool), except from the 17th when it is my birthday and I will be in Belfast where it is illegal to refuse a drink, and I am also there on the 16th too (doing Figure 8 at the Old Museum Arts Centre – plug plug). Oh, and will be having a london based birthday shindig too – so should probably drink then.

This is how comitted I am to staying healthy. Only three exceptions.

I have also been eating more fruit and every morning have a yakult, a cod liver oil tablet (my joints are now not creaky, though I’m not sure there were creaky before either), a vitamin tablet and an effervescent vitamin C tablet.

Today I drank the fizzy vitamin juice before the tablet was totally dissolved and for about 5 minutes I could feel it stuck in my throat. I didn’t worry so much, I figured it would finish its job of dissolving soon enough and I’d be able to breathe properly again.

In the mean time I burped pure fizz every 10 seconds or so, it wasn’t really very pleasant. but at least my throat is now healthy
