The Creme Egg Bar

We know that it is new year not thanks to Jools Hollands Hoooooootennnanny but to the fact the Cadbury’s bring out their creme eggs, these are bad, but made worse only by the continuing of the “How do you eat yours” campaign since the victorian times.

I don’t eat them on the whole, once you realise that inside isn’t egg, but sugar, well, i felt cheated, and a bit sick, though was happy to eat raw egg in chocolate it seems.

Though it would be interesting to find out if the whole Edwina Currie/salmonella debacle of the late eighties actually affect creme egg sales that year.. that would be funny.

Presumably as I’m typing this onto the internet I could find out in a few short minutes, but I can’t be bothered…

Oh alright… I put

cadbury creme egg edwina currie salmonella

into google

and found not the statistics I was after (see, knew I should have bothered), but instead this astoundingly lazy piece of journalism, I know its the from the people newspaper, but it’s as if they just trawled the internet to fill some words into some blank webspace.

Anyway, my point… today I discovered something I’m not so happy with, the Cadbury’s Creme Egg Bar. As they have murdered the Wispa, only to make the Cadbury’s Bubbly Bar, a dairy milk bar that is the same price as a dairy milk bar, but is full of wholes, so you get much less chocolate. Unlike the wispa that was much bigger to compensate and had a much denser bubble structure.

Well now the same anodyne branding has bought this monstrosity, essentially a Caramel bar… but not like the old fashioned caramel bars that were advertised by a sexy bunny, but instead a dairy milk bar that has some of the chocolate taken out and much less caramel than you used to get put in.

Like that, but with fake sugar egg.

I won’t fall for this crap cadbury’s homogenization

I mean, obviously I bought one, and quite enjoyed it, but I was obviously angry with the whole concept. Thank god easter is over.

PS… by far the worst/laziest/most pointless “fact” in that People article is that “TYPING the word “egg” into Internet search engine Google brings up 140,000,000 entries.”… espescially as its a lie… I got 151,000 results
