Two shows left, it’s been a very long month.
Part of me cannot wait to get back to London, but another part of me doesn’t want to head back to the real world of temp jobs and bars closing at 11pm.
One defining factor in me wanting to finish the hsow is that the black and white stripey goth jumper I’ve been wearing for it absolutely fucking stinks.
It’s handwash only, and from past experience taks about three days to dry, it’s a bit on the woolly side.
So I figured I could just leave it, after all, I’m only wearing it for an hour a day.
An hour, in a hot sweaty dark room, in which I’m not only wearing wool, but PVC trousers (these are smelly too).
So the two shows left barrier is good. And today I had a fucking corker. Fullest it’s yet been, was surprised, flyering has been lacklustre today, just fucking sick of it to be honest. And was expecting a quiet one, I peeked my eyes out of the little curtain that seperates me from the dressing room corridor and stage to see only about five people, not bad at all.
When the show started there were about 15 people in, and then about 5/6 more strolled in.
And the show was flying, I know I’ve not had many of the big reviewers in, or a surging word of mouth overnight sensation, but the show has been good, and the audiences have enjoyed it. I’m happy (just a little poor).
