As I type this my cold is subduing a bit, but my grand plan of going out and partying all weekend to forget that I’m not in Glastonbury has frankly failed.
In fact I’ve spent the weekend feeling lightheaded and woozy and watching Glast on a screen. So not all that different from being there. If I put my feet in a bucket of piss I’ve completed the experience.
But I have done a lot of work.
And today had the laziest dinner ever… a ready meal curry. The joys of illness, was planning a big fresh veg to bolster my immune system, but got to Sainsbury’s and just couldn’t be bothered.
Now, in my slight health kick of late I’ve cut sugar from tea completely, not altogether a health thing. I ran out of sugar and couldn’t afford any more a few weeks ago and so just had some without and found it surprsingly tolerable.
I’ve also gone from full fat to semi-skimmed milk in an effort to not just funnel lard into my blood.
Today in Sainsbury’s I remembered I needed more milk, next to the normal milk they had GM Free stuff. So, feeling for my brothers being hippies for the weekend in Glastonbury, I bought it.
Back at the flat I wanted a cup of coffee. The only coffee we have right now is some fair trade CafeDirect stuff. So into my mug went the hippy coffee and the hippy milk.
I do need sugar for coffee though, so a rummage through absent flatmates cupboards yielded some brown sugar. This is Sainsbury’s own, so not fair trade or or organic or anyhting. But brown sugar? Well that’s hippyish enough isn’t it?
So there we go… I might be sat in a comfy armchair in the dry…But I’m there with you people. I’m there.
