The Magic Tea

Sometimes an impromptu night occurs; tonight was one of those nights. After a day wandering around Camden market we stopped off for a coffee in the hippy coffee place that serves coffee. On the wall, on a tiny chalkboard was a small sign proclaiming a trance night from 10 pm to 2. But on this, the Bank Holiday Sunday it was going on until 6am.

We decided to meet up and mosey on down.

It’s a curious thing being in Camden Market when it is all locked up and dark. Shops all shuttered, except for this one coffee shop, downstairs, the record bit had cleared all the CD’s to form a dance floor.

Upstairs was a hive of cool people drinking teas/coffees and beers. We went to the counter. Ooh they were selling magic chai, tea made with mystical fungus. They sell this in Synergy too, it’s hardly enough to you wasted, but adds a nice tingle to the night.

The cups arrived. Fuck. This was strong, each cup had about four or five mushrooms floating in it.

My mind went away for a while, it was a good night. Curiously there were hardly any English people there, it was like an underground culture we had stumbled across.

It was also an odd experience going for a pee in the upstairs market toilets of the market.

Weird, odd, but good night.
