The Fruit

After Easter and weigh ins (of a private nature, none of that boxing nonsense) I have reluctantly admitted to myself and myself alone (well no one else reads this) that I actually have put on weight, not in a joking kind of way. But I have gone past and stayed past the just under 12 stone level that I have kept at since I was 20. I can only presume that another four years on my standard weight increases (as does my standard girth. I’ve even reluctantly stopped kidding myself that I’m a 30″ anymore)

So this is the start of a healthy regime. I went to the shop and bought fruit, lots, well, three apples and three bananas, I know that any more would just rot away somewhere.

I also bought lots of salad.

And so far it is all I’ve eaten. Can’t see any noticeable affect on my health, except I’ve been going to the toilet more (goes right through me). This is the problem with health, in this modern lifestyle we want things now. And unfortunately an apple today won’t keep the doctor away, although I’ve had two apples and have still had no news on my xray. So maybe that’s enough.

I’ll go and have some chocolate.

The next thing to do is to get some exercise, likewise, I didn’t really notice much change in my body after going swimming twice. Admittedly I hurt my ankle soon after, and now that I have no job I can’t afford to go. Or to join the gym like I’d planned.

Someone told me that you can do exercise for free, in parks or even your own flat. I don’t see that catching on…
