The Wedding

Now that I have been fired, the remaining days in this temp job are getting more and more unbearable.

The fuehrer at this nazi like temp hell has been spending today discussing her wedding photos with everyone she phones (I believe she’s gotten through all of the London telephone directories, and it’s only 12 noon) and anyone unlucky enough to have phoned her. How she ever gets any work done is a mystery to me.

The basic summary goes thus. She got married; they took photos.

Ok, maybe that’s a little too basic

They got married, the photos that were taken on the day are due to be picked up/developed /collected or something. Now, the crux of the morning conversing has been that she’s been telling people about how they are doctoring the photos.

And I can’t decide whether I think this is good or bad. It seems that there’s a photo where her mother is obscured by a wombat (I may have skewed some of the duller comments in my mind). So they are going to cut and paste her from another photo into the this one. Seemingly nearly every photo is to be doctored in some way with people being airbrushed here, shifted a little there.

Now, the big day should be perfect, so why not alter the pictures to make it so? But on the other hand, where does it stop, you may as well get married at a registry office and then cut and paste a church behind for the photos – much cheaper.

Discuss.
